US President Donald Trump said he approved Oracle Corp.’s bid for the US operations of TikTok “in concept,” but contradicted the video-sharing app's Chinese owner ByteDance on a $5 billion education fund.
“I have given the deal my blessing. If they get it done that’s great. If they don’t, that’s OK too, ” Trump told reporters on Saturday. “I approved the deal in concept.”
