China’s industry-grade lithium carbonate price rebounded 34% in half a month – research

The prices of industrial-grade lithium carbonate in China have risen from 133,000 yuan per ton on April 20 to 178,000 yuan per tonne on May 6th, rising by nearly 34% in half a month, according to data from consultancy Baiinfo. 

The prices of battery-grade lithium carbonate has risen from 175,000 yuan per tonne to 195,000 yuan/tonne, rising by 11% during the same period, showed the data.

In addition, the average industry gross profit of industrial-grade and battery-grade lithium carbonate has rebounded from a loss of 20,000 yuan per tonne in late March to more than 40,000 yuan per tonne, showed the data.
