China’s mobile phone shipments fell 5.5% on year in Mar, rose 7.4% in Q1

Mobile phone shipments in China's domestic market reached 21.38 million units in March, representing a 5.5% drop from a year earlier, according to data released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, a think tank under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Shipments of 5G-enabled mobile phones reached 17.736 million units, growing 2.3% year over year and accounting for 83% of the total mobile phone shipments, showed the data. 

Shipments of domestic brand mobile phones reached 17.633 million units in March, falling 8.5 . . .
