China’s technology minister held symposium on development of nuclear fusion energy

Wang Zhigang, China’s Minister of Science and Technology, visited Hefei, capital city of East China’s Anhui province, and held a special symposium on the future development path of nuclear fusion energy, according to a statement released by the ministry. 

China will coordinate the study of nuclear fusion related work, focus on the research of nuclear fusion engineering, technology and methods, accelerate the process of untilization of nuclear fusion energy, strengthen original and leading scientific and technological research, enhance institutional protection and policy guidance, strengthen research of supporting technologies, and promote the high-quality development of scientific and technological innovation in nuclear fusion energy, it said.
