More than 100 cities closed home sales centres amid coronavirus outbreak, Q1 sales expected to drop

"Spring Festival is traditionally a high season for us, but this year, all the home sales centres have been closed, no transaction at all," said a real estate broker in Ximen, a city in southeastern Fujian province. The website of Xiamen city's real estate regulator shows zero transaction between Feb 1 - Feb 3.

Xiamen is not a standalone case. According to data from Yihan Consulting, 110 Chinese cities have closed home sales centres amid the novel coronavirus outbreak and the move in forty cities was required by the authority.
