A number of Chinese cities recently relaxed property restrictions to shore up the housing markets hit by the coronavirus outbreak. But many changed their minds the next day.

Haining city in eastern China's Zhejiang province said it would remove the rule that bans non-local residents, or residents with non-local household registration, from buying second homes during the period between March 25 and April 24, according to a local government statement on Tuesday afternoon.
