China's excavator sales hit the second highest on record in April and demand for cement rebounded significantly as infrastructure construction picks up after the economy recovers from the coronavirus lockdown and the government ramped up policy support to the economy.

China's excavator sales surged 59.9 per cent in April from a year earlier to 45,426 units, the second highest on record, shows data from Wind Information.
