China's pork prices hit the lowest level so far this year as the demand has been dampened by the coronavirus outbreak. Analysts say it's still too early to say pork prices have peaked considering that overseas supplies are likely to drop amid the coronavirus pandemic and pork consumption is expected pick up later this year.

According to the agriculture ministry, China's average wholesale pork prices was 43.02 yuan per kg on May 6, a new low since December 30, 2019. The prices have been falling for three consecutive months after hitting a high . . .
