Foreign direct investment into mainland China returned to growth in April for the first time since the start of the coronavirus outbreak, according to the data released by the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.

In US dollar terms, China's inbound foreign direct investment (FDI) rose 8.6 per cent last month compared to the same period last year to $10.14 billion and in yuan terms, the figure increased 11.8 per cent to 70.36 billion yuan, shows the data.
