China's home prices grew at the fastest pace in seven months in May, with price gains in top cities showing signs of overheating, as the property market continues its recovery from the coronavirus lockdown measures.

Among the 70 major Chinese cities, new home prices in 57 cities rose on a month-on-month basis in May, the highest amount since August last year, increasing from 50 in April, according to the NBS.
