China's tourism sector continued to show improvement during the Dragon Boat Festival, but analysts say the "revenge travel" that many have expected is unlikely as concerns over a resurgence of coronavirus infections persist.

During the holiday (June 25 - 27), Chinese tourist sites saw a total of 48.81 million visitors, which was about 50.9 per cent of the number seen in the same period last year, according to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The tourism sector made 12.28 billion yuan in revenue during the period, about 31.2 . . .
