China’s imports grew at the fastest pace this year in September, while exports extended strong gains as more trading partners lifted coronavirus lockdown measures, pointing to further recovery in global trade and a robust domestic rebound.
Exports in September increased 9.9 per cent from a year earlier, data released by the General Administration of Customs on Tuesday, largely in line with analysts’ expectations and improving from a solid 9.5 per cent rise in August.
