China car sales rose for the sixth straight month in September, new energy car sales surged 67%

China's automobile sales marked a sixth straight month of gain in September, with sales of new energy vehicles surging 67 per cent from a year earlier, as the world’s biggest car market recovers further from the coronavirus fallout.

The country's total car sales increased 12.8 per cent year over year to 2.57 million units last month, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Car sales has been rising for sixth consecutive months since April, growth by a double-digit growth in the recent five months . . .
