China’s top policymakers pledge to maintain support for economic recovery, to avoid sudden turn in policy

China's top policymakers said the country will maintain policy support for its economic recovery in 2021, avoiding a sudden shift in policy, to help keep economic growth within a reasonable range, according to a statement released after the annual Central Economic Work Conference.

The meeting is an arena to draft the next year’s economic priorities. It sets targets for economic growth, the fiscal deficit ratio, inflation and government investment for the coming year which will be officially unveiled at the meeting of the National People’s Congress in March.
