China's travel rebounded strongly during the three-day Tomb-Sweeping holidays, the first national holiday since the government relaxed travel restrictions after controlling most new coronavirus outbreaks, to approach the level seen during the same period in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic struck.

Analysts say the spending boom is attributable to multiple factors including "retaliatory spending" and further economic recovery.
