The global chip shortage continues to impact carmakers in China and the rest of the world, forcing some to suspend production. Industry insiders say the impact on China's auto industry could last until the second half of next year.

David Xu, Vice President of Bosch China, said in a social media post earlier this week that its overseas semiconductor supplier in Muar, Malaysia, was shut down by the government due to local Covid-19 pandemic.

That will directly impact supplies of Bosch ESP/IPB, VCU, TCU and other chips and supply disruption is expected . . .
