China's cobalt prices hit the highest level in three years after some cobalt factories suspended production amid Covid-19 outbreaks in East China's Zhejiang province, pushing up the already high prices of the key material for electric vehicle battery production.

According to data from the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), prices of electrolytic cobalt hit 482,500 yuan per tonne on December 15, jumping 76% from the start of the year and surging 82 . . .
