China to promote renewable energy projects, aims to increase share of non-fossil energy to 17.3% in 2022

China plans to increase its energy supply in 2022 by approving high-quality coal mines with advanced production capacity, and promote construction of wind, solar, hydro and nuclear power projects, according to a guideline for the country's energy work in 2022 released by the National Energy Administration on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the country will further increase the share of non-fossil fuel in total energy consumption, said the NEA.
