Major Chinese new energy vehicle makers saw car deliveries tumble in April from the previous month due to the impacts of the Covid-19 lockdown measures in Shanghai and neighbouring regions.

NIO Inc said that it delivered 5,074 cars in April, sliding 49% from the prior month. Xpeng Motors said it delivered 9,002 cars last month, diving 41.6% month on month, while Li Auto delivered 4,167 cars, slumping 62% from March.
