China's tourist travels and tourism revenue in the five-day Labour Day holiday tumbled from a year earlier due to Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions rolled out across the country. Analysts believe the situation will unlikely improve materially in the near term.

Chinese tourists made a total of 160 million domestic trips during the period of April 30 - May 4, sliding by 30.2% from the same period last year and equivalent to 66 . . .
