China's lithium prices are expected to remain elevated this year amid strong demand, but the prices will see downward pressure next year as lithium supply will grow significantly, according to a government-backed consultancy.

The price of battery-grade lithium carbonate are expected to remain high in the range of 460,000 - 500,000 yuan per tonne this year, with average price around 450,000 - 460,000 yuan per tonne, said Yu Yakun, analyst . . .
