China’s retail sales of passenger car market reached 2.063 million units in September, rising by 2% year-on-year and up 8% month-on-month, according to preliminary data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
For the first nine months of the year, the total retail sales of passenger cars reached 15.529 million units, representing a 2% year-on-year increase, showed the data.
Wholesale volume of passenger cars reached 2.469 million units in September, up 1% year-on-year and rising 15% month-on-month, and for the January – September period, the total wholesale volume reached 18.409 million units, an increase of 3% from a year earlier, showed the data. ‘
In the new energy vehicle market, retail sales reached 1.12 million units in September, surging 51% year-on-year and rising 9% month-on-month, according to the association.
