BYD exits auto-driving agreement with Baidu to pursue self-developed software – report

Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD Company exited an autonomous-driving agreement with Baidu and has switched its focus on self-developed intelligence automobile software, reported Hong Kong newspaper SCMP.

BYD Company in March 2022 had reached an agreement with Baidu, in which BYD will incorporate technologies developed by Baidu, such as navigation and automated valet parking, in its electric vehicle products, the report said.
