China committed to building top-tier business environment, to further relax market access – Premier Li Qiang

China is committed to building a top-tier business environment that is market-driven, law-based and internationally oriented, and will further relax market access, Chinese Premier Li Qiang said in a meeting with representatives of the Saudi business community in Riyadh on Wednesday.

He said that China will provide robust support and services for foreign enterprises, helping them establish a stronger presence and achieve success in the country, according to Chinese official media Xinhua News Agency.

Li urged Saudi companies to deepen their involvement in the Chinese market, and invest with greater confidence, in a meeting with representatives of the Saudi business community including Saudi Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabian Oil Company, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, ACWA Power, and the Ajlan & Bros Holding Group.

He encouraged Saudi companies to expand and strengthen cooperation with China in traditional sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, infrastructure, and trade, while enhancing cooperation in emerging and future industries like the digital and green economies.

Furthermore, Saudi companies should actively serve as bridges to enhance friendship and mutual understanding between China and Saudi Arabia, and advance the China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights, he added.

Li arrived in Riyadh on Tuesday to chair the Fourth Meeting of the High-Level Chinese-Saudi Joint Committee and visit Saudi Arabia.

Li expected China and Saudi Arabia to further strengthen alignment of their development strategies and push bilateral ties to a higher level through his visit to the country. He will have in-depth discussions with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern to strengthen friendship and expand cooperation.

Saudi Arabia is the first leg of his four-day tour to the Middle East, which will also take him to the United Arab Emirates.
