China to keep yuan stable, increase yuan’s flexibility – PBOC governor Yi Gang

China will keep the yuan largely stable at reasonable and balanced levels and increase flexibility of the yuan exchange rate, said Yi Gang, the central bank governor, on Thursday.

China will deepen financial reform, strengthen the financial sector’s ability to serve the real economy, improve modern financial supervision and strengthen the mechanism to maintain financial stability, said Yi in to a statement from the PBOC.
