China and Australia’s top trade officials on Monday held talks for the first time since 2019, in the latest sign of a warming in diplomatic relations between the two countries.

China's commerce minister Wang Wentao said talks with Australian counterpart Don Farrell were a key step toward bringing bilateral economic and trade ties back on track, with relations improving after being strained in recent years.
