China’s domestic passenger flight volume last week rose 14.3% from 2019-level, domestic cargo flight volume rose 7.7%

Chinese airlines executed a total of nearly 109,000 passenger flights in the week of July 31 – August 6, with an average of 15,623 flights per day, rising by 3.4% from the previous week, up 44.4% from a year earlier and up 2.6% from the same period in 2019, according to data from flight information platform Hangban Guanjia.

In particular, the number of domestic passenger flight volume reached 99,904 in the week, rising by 14.3% from the level in the same period in 2019, showed the data.

China’s domestic cargo flight volume reached 1,557 during the week, rising by 7.7% from the previous week and surging by 24.2% from a year earlier, while international cargo flight reached 2,693, an increase of 2.55% from the previous week and sliding 23.8% from the same period in 2022, according to data from flight information platform Variflight.
