China's imports and exports are expected to have hit a new record high in 2022, the Ministry of Commerce said at a press briefing on Thursday.

Looking ahead into 2023, the growing risk of global recession and continued slowdown in external demand are exerting pressure on China's foreign trade, the ministry said on Thursday.
