China’s lithium prices hit new record high

China’s lithium prices continue to rise on Tuesday. The average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate rises by 3,000 yuan per tonne to hit 544,000 yuan per tonne, with the highest price hitting 553,000 yuan per tonne, hitting a new record high, according to data from consultancy Shanghai Metals Market.

Separate data from consultancy Mysteel showed that average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate rises by 3,000 yuan per tonne to reach 547,500 yuan per tonne, marking a new record high.
