China’s NEV wholesale volume up 27% on year in Aug, up 9% on month – industry association

China’s wholesale volume of new energy vehicles is estimated to be 800,000 units in August, surging 27% from a year earlier and up 9% from the previous month, according to the China Passenger Car Association. 

In the first eight months of the year, wholesale volume of NEVs is estimated at 5.08 million units, surging 39% from a year earlier, it said. 

BYD Company’s wholesale volume is estimated to be 274,086 units in August, ranking first, and its followed by Tesla China with wholesale volume at 84,159 units, the association said.
