China is expected to see about 2.095 billion passenger trips during the 40-day Spring Festival travel rush (Jan 7 - Feb 15), surging 99.5% from a year earlier and representing about 70.3% of the level seen in the same period in 2019, Xu Chengguang, Vice Minister of Transport, said at a press briefing on Friday.
