China’s top economic planner recently met with more private companies in an effort to boost market confidence and support the sluggish economic recovery.

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently held a symposium with cargo service platform Huolala and furniture company Markor Furnishings, the NDRC said in a statement on Wednesday.

Officials from the NDRC also met private companies including Huafu Fasion, XEEK Medical, Hithium Energy Storage Technology, etc, during the trip to Xinjiang and Fujian province, it said.

The officials learned about the difficulties they are facing during business operations and listened to the companies’ opinions on the current economic situation and their suggestions on policies, it said.

The meetings came after Cong Liang, a deputy director of the NDRC, earlier this week hosted a meeting with six private manufacturers including Hengrui Medicine, Zhejiang NHU, Nio, Anta, TCL, and Jingye Group.

In addition, Zhao Chenxin, another deputy director of the state planner, recently visited Shenzhen Das Intellitech, Huawei Songshan Lake industrial base, and Guangzhou Baiyun Electric Equipment.

On July 20, the NDRC said that it has established a regular communication mechanism with private enterprises in order to better communicate with them.
