China’s top 100 developers saw sales slide 28.1% on year, slumping 58.9% from 2021-level – research

China’s top 100 property developers’ sales reached 526.7 billion yuan in June, sliding 28.1% from a year earlier and rising 8.5% from the previous month, the slowest month-on-month growth for the same period on record, according to data from the China Real Estate Information Corporation (CRIC).

When compared to the sales of 1.28 trillion yuan in same period of 2021, the 100 developers’ sales last month tumbled 58.9%, showed the data.

Among the 100 developers, fewer than 30% developers recorded year-on-year growth in sales and fewer than 50% reported month-on-month rises, it said. In particular, nearly 60% of them reported year-on-year declines of more than 30%, including 27 companies posting declines more than 50%.
