China’s trade with the ASEAN countries reached 2.09 trillion yuan in the first four months of the year, an increase of 13.9% from a year earlier, said China’s General Administration of China.
The ASEAN remained China’s top trade partner during the period, with trade volume accounting for 15.7% of China’s total foreign trade, showed the data.
The EU remained China’s second largest trade partner, with bilateral trade reached 1.8 trillion yuan during the four-month period, rising by 4.2% from a year earlier and accounting for 13.5% of China’s total trade.
China’s bilateral trade with the US reached 1.5 trillion yuan in the four months, falling by 11.2% from a year earlier, making it the country’s third larges trade partner.
China’s exports to the US reached 1.09 trillion yuan in the first four months, sliding 7.5% from a year earlier, while China’s imports from the US reached 410 billion yuan, rising by 5.8% from a year earlier, leaving a trade surplus of 676.8 billion yuan, showed the data.
