Chinese chip startup Biren Intelligent Technology is considering a Hong Kong IPO as early as this year, and is expected to apply for the listing in the next few weeks, Bloomberg News reported, citing sources.

The company is in talks with investors, including a fund backed by the Guangzhou municipal government, for another round of financing, which could raise about 2 billion yuan, the report said.

Founded in 2019, Biren specializes in chips for display cards and cloud computing, and raised about 4.7 billion yuan from investors including Ping An and China Merchants Capital.
