Distressed property developer Country Garden has wired a coupon payment coming due on a ringgit-denominated bond, reported Bloomberg News citing sources.
The 2.85-million ringgit coupon is effectively due on Monday, according to market data.
The developer missed an initial deadline to pay a combined$22.5 million of coupon on two US dollar bonds and the grace period for the payments will end on September 5-6.
