Ensuring deliveries of pre-sold homes unequivocally remains an arduous task, and stronger policy support is needed, said state-run newspaper Economic Daily in an article on Wednesday.
It takes some time for some property developers to address their liquidity issues and until recently, there are still reports on debt defaults by developers, highlighting the lingering difficulties in ensuring home deliveries, and underscoring the need to take more proactive measures, it said.
In particular, efforts should be made to ensure implementation of the 16 measures for stepping up financial support for the real estate sector and the special funding scheme for ensuring home deliveries, in a move to continuously easing liquidity pressure, it said.
Some departments has proposed to push for reforms to the current pre-sale mechanism in property sales and more and more cities have started pilots for selling completed homes, which will a trend in the future, it said.
