GCL Energy Technology to develop super-charging network with Huawei’s digital power unit

China’s GCL Energy Technology has signed an agreement with Huawei Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Huawei Technologies, for cooperation on the construction of an integrated liquid-cooled super-charging network called “Energy Storage Light Cloud”, according to state-backed newspaper China Securities Journal. 

Under the agreement, GC Energy Technology will leverage its own charging and battery-swapping operation platform and green energy industry resources to build and operate 50 fully liquid-cooled super-charging stations in the Yangtze River Delta and Greater Bay Area within three years, together with Huawei Digital Energy, it said.
