Second-hand home transactions in China’s southern metropolis Guangzhou reached 10,182 units in November (Oct 26 – Nov 25), rising by 8.77% from the previous month, and the floor area sold reached 1.02 million square meters, rising by 7.23%, according to data from the Guangzhou Real Estate Intermediary Association .

That marks the fourth consecutive month-on-month gain for the city’s second-hand home sales, after rising 1.37% in August, 4.1% in September and 11.23% in October, according to the association. 

Separate data from real estate agency Anjuke showed that the average listing prices of second-hand homes in Guangzhou stood at 34,122 yuan per squarer meter in November, falling 2.78% from the previous month and down 8.4% from a year earlier.

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that second-hand home prices in Guangzhou fell by 0.2% month on month in May, 0.3% in June, 1% in July, 0.6% in August, 0.7% in September and 0.8% in October.
