Shares of Hong Kong broadcaster TVB surge 36% to hit new high since May 2021 on live-streaming cooperation with Taobao
Shares of Hong Kong’s Television Broadcasts Ltd, the parent company of TVB, continue surging on Monday, jumping as much as 36% to hit HK$8, marking a new high since May 2021, following the 51.55% rally last Friday.
On March 1st, TVB announced that it had reached a cooperation with Alibaba’s e-commerce platform Taobao through its subsidiary, Shanghai Feicui Dongfang Communication.
The two parties will jointly develop more than 48 live-streaming e-commerce event this year, which is expected to bring TVB tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars in revenue, the company said.
