After the launch of Huawei Technologies’ new flagship smartphone model Mate 60 Pro on August 29th, the model has seen vigorous demand and the shipment guidance for the second half of the year has been ramped up by roughly 20% to 5.5 – 6 million units, said Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International.

Based on the current market trend, the total shipment volume in the 12 months since the launch could reach at least 12 million units, he said.

The robust demand will benefit various Chinese companies in the Huawei supply chain, such as China’s top semiconductor foundry SMIC, and Sunny Optical which handles the production of optical modules, he said.

Other potential beneficiaries include Vanchip Technologies (688153.SH), SG Micro Corp (300661.SZ), Southchip Semiconductor Technology (688484.SH), Maxic Technology (688458.SH)  and JCET Group Co., Ltd (600584.SH), he said.
