Hunan province likely to see drought in summer, autumn this year, power supply gap expected

The National Energy Administration’s branch in South China’s Hunan province recently issued a notice saying that the region is expected to see drought in both summer and autumn this year, with uncertainties in power supply from other provinces and the province is expected to se a gap in power supply. 

It urged power companies to accelerate the construction of power projects, and strive to put new projects into operation before the peak of power demand in summer, according to the notice.
