Macau’s gross gaming revenue surged 513% year over year to 15.2 billion patacas in June, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

The revenue was down 2.3% from the previous month and 36% lower than the same period in 2019, slightly missing estimates.

The gaming revenue in June slowed despite the Dragon Boat Festival holiday and high-profile concerts, a sign casinos face an increasingly challenging task in enticing visitors to spend money.
