The Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan, the busiest port in the world in terms of cargo tonnage, expects its container throughput to reach 3.75 million TEUs in June, falling by 2% from a year earlier, and its cargo tonnage is expected to reach 91.3 million tonnes, rising by 1% from a year ago.
In the first half of the year, the port’s container throughput is expected to reach 21.32 million TEUs, rising by 1.3% from a year earlier, and its cargo tonnage is expected to reach 554.65 million tonnes, rising by 3.1% from a year earlier, it said.
