Preparation for GAC Aion’s IPO in full swing, Aion aims to sell over 1 million cars in 2025

Chinese automaker GAC Group said that the work for the IPO of its new energy vehicle brand GAC Aion is currently in full swing and Aion is striving to produce and sell more than 1 million cars in 2025.

For 2023, Aion aims to produce and sell 500,000 pure electric vehicles and kick off overseas business, it said.

GAC plans to invest 85 – 100 billion yuan during the 14th Five-Year period to strengthen the research and development and industrialization of the core technologies in new energy power batteries, drive motors and electric control systems, it said.

By 2025, 25% of GAC’s cars would be new energy vehicles, and 50% of them would be under its own brand, it said.
