Price of battery-grade lithium carbonate in China hit new record high

The average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate rises by 2,500 yuan to hit a new record high of 510,000 yuan per tonne on Thursday, with the highest price in the market hitting 515,000 yuan per tonne, according to data from consultancy Mysteel.

The prices of lithium hydroxide rises by 3,500 – 5,000 yuan per tonne, prices of nickel beans rise by 3,800 yuan per tonne and the prices of lithium manganate rises by 1,500 yuan per tonne, according to Mysteel.

Separate data from Shanghai Metals Market showed that the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate rises by 2,500 yuan per tonne on Thursday to hit 502,500 yuan per tonne, with the highest price at 507,000 yuan per tonne.

The average price of lithium hexafluorophosphate rises by 500 yuan per tonne to 264,000 yuan per tonne and the average price of ternary material 523 rises 2,000 yuan per tonne to 338,500 yuan per tonne, according to SMM.
