The average daily trading volume on the Shanghai Stock Exchange stood at 314.1 billion yuan in September, sliding 24.1% from the previous month, showed data released by the PBOC.

The average daily trading volume on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange stood at 415.7 billion yuan in September, sliding 30% from the month before, showed the data.

The Shanghai Composite Index fell 5.6% in September, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 8.8%.
