Lou Jiwei, China’s former finance minister, said at a conference on Friday that it’s about time for China to consider withdrawing the monetary stimulus measurs adopted to combat the coronavirus outbreak this year.

“It is time to study an orderly exit of loose monetary policies,” Lou said, who was finance minister from 2013 to 2016, but he stressed that he didn’t think the country should ditch its current loosening of monetary policy immediately.
