China's digital yuan app went live on Apple's App Store and Android app stores in China on Tuesday, in a push to expand its usage by domestic and international customers during the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics.

According to the official introduction, the "digital-yuan" or "e-CNY (Pilot Version)" app developed by the People's Bank of China (PBOC)'s digital currency research institute, is the official service platform for the pilot programs . . .
