China’s industrial profits grew at faster pace in Jan – Feb driven by energy, materials sectors

Profits at China's industrial companies grew at a faster pace in the first two months of the year driven by surging profits in the energy and material sectors, in line with other data indicating a strengthening economic momentum amid stimulus policies.

Industrial profits increased 5% in January - February compared to a year earlier, accelerating from a 4.2% rise in December, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Sunday.
